Toys R Us parking lot full of cars during the holiday week leading up to Christmas.
Toys “R” Us stores nationwide will be open for 88 consecutive hours this week beginning at 6 a.m. Tuesday through 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
The company said it would be the first time stores are open at all hours in the final few days before Christmas.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, stores will hold their final two-day sales of the holiday season with some items marked at more than 50 percent off.
Toys “R” Us stores are also continuing to receive daily shipments of new merchandise up through Christmas.
“We are committed to keeping our stores open continuously during the days leading up to Christmas to ensure shoppers have all the time they need to cross off everything on their little ones’ wish lists,” said Greg Ahearn, senior vice president for marketing and e-commerce at Toys “R” Us Inc. “Each day, from now through Christmas Eve, our stores continue to receive shipments of the hot products to help parents find that ‘must-have’ toy to put under the tree.”
A few of the deals being promoted for Tuesday and Wednesday include a free $50 Toys “R” Us gift card for purchasing a Nintendo Wii system and Wii Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games and a free 10-pack of Hot Wheels cars with the purchase of Hot Wheels Criss Cross Crash Track Set.
The following discounts will be offered on a first come first serve basis, meaning when the deals are gone, they will not restock them.
Buy one and get two free Transformers 2 Fast Action Battlers, buy one and then get 50% off all video game accessories that are up to $19.99. Shoppers can save 50% or more on Riptunes 2GB MP3, Baby Alive Real Surprises Baby Doll, Imaginarium Spiral Train and all Liv Dolls, sets and accessories.
Sing-a-ma-Jigs are one of this season’s hottest toys and Toy “R” Us is offering them at $9.99. Big Backyard Carlisle Wood Gym Set is $349.99, a savings of $150. Save $60 or more on Coby 19″ LED High Definition TV and the Power Wheels Kawasaki Brute Force.
Along with its two-day sales event, Toys “R” Us will feature special “Midnight Madness” deals from midnight to 6 a.m. each day beginning at midnight Wednesday. Customers can find out about these daily deals through the store’s e-mail notices.
