On the season finale of the ABC reality show, ‘Shaq Vs.’, Shaquille O’Neal challenged 16-year-old Canadian pop star phenomenon Justin Bieber to a basketball game followed by a dance and sing off. Beiber won both events with a clean sweep, although Shaq may have “thrown” the basketball game.

Justin Bieber, “Baby Baby Baby” singer, gladly accepted Shaq’s challenge. The stakes were if Team Bieber consisting of Bieber’s friends, defeats Team Shaq consisting of his children, Bieber would have the pleasure of flying Shaquille’s private jet anywhere in the world.

Team Bieber defeated Team Shaq 7-6 but there was no love lost. Justin Bieber quoted, “Shaq your kids are pretty good.” Afterwards, Justin and Shaquille took it to the stage at Madison Square Garden to sing one of Bieber’s hit songs, Baby.

Shaquille didn’t prove his dominance over Justin Bieber but Shaquille O’Neal did prove that he can still rap and present excellent stage presence with the best in the business. Justin Bieber has grown into a worldwide teen heartthrob since his discovery by Scooter Braun in 2008 on YouTube.

On the same show, Shaq challenged late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel to a last comic standing. Shaquille had a number of good jokes but Jimmy Kimmel got the best of Shaquille, he never stood a chance against late night king Jimmy Kimmel.

‘Shaq Vs.’ features Shaquille O’Neal competing against other celebrities talents and sports. The reality tv show is into its second season and began airing August of 2009.

Shaquille O’Neal maybe able to gain his reputation back by defeating Justin Bieber on the court but not the stage.
