The party gift sells for $125,000 for 75 people.

The store chain features “his and her” items are celebrating their 50th anniversary with the offer of a deluxe houseboat for two, priced at $250,000. Although the Christmas Book does boast some high-priced glitzy items, Neiman Marcus priced almost half of its contents below $250. Ginger Reeder, VP of Public Relations for Neiman Marcus explained company’s awareness of the economy.

However, she expressed the ideology of fantasy twined with tradition. Reeder said, “I do think if there’s ever a time of year to fantasize about ‘What in the world would I do if I won the lottery,’ this is it. That’s part of our tradition.” She went on to say of the fantasies customers cannot afford, they “can dream about it from Neiman Marcus.”
