Sears is letting shoppers get an early start on the Black Friday deals by opening stores on Thanksgiving day for the first time ever.
Many Sears’ stores will open at 4 a.m. Friday to give eager customers a head start on snagging deals on the retailer’s well-known brands such as Craftsman, Lands’ End, Kenmore and DieHard.
Sears plans to continue offering special discounts through Christmas.
“Sears understands that everyone has a different style when it comes to shopping, so we’re providing unique offerings so customers can spend more time with their friends and family this holiday season,” said David Friedman, senior vice president of marketing at Sears Holdings. “Whether that means you shop early in the season or wait until the last minute, we’re making holiday shopping easier and more accessible by offering weekly deals up until Christmas.”
Some “Black Friday Now” at Sears for Friday November 26 includes a Kenmore Front Load Washer and Dryer Pair for $599.98 on the pair, which regularly retails for $1,399.98, a 57% savings. A Yard Pro Mower is $199.99, a $180 savings. Additionally, Sears has up to 60% off all fine jewelry and 20% off all Craftsman power and outdoor storage equipment. Fit the entire family in Canyon River Jeans for $9.99 a pair.
Kmart, also part of Sears Holdings, is offering enhanced discounts beginning Friday during its annual “Blue Friday” shopping event. Kmart stores will open at 5 a.m. Friday, letting customers snatch up discounted products from brands like Smart Sense, Country Living and Jaclyn Smith.
Kmart Blue Friday deals will only last for six hours on Friday, November 26. Some deals include a Zenith 42″ plasma HDTV for $399.99, Craftsman C3 19.2V drill for $49.99 which retails for $79.99, Diamond pendant on sale for $9.99 and buy 2, get 1 free on all Fisher-Price Thomas the Tank Engine and Imaginext toys.
