Join Rivers joins Danica Patrick and Jillian Michaels as GoDaddy Girls.

GoDaddy.com can now claim one of the most successful marketing campaigns in its history. The racy commercials aired during the Super Bowl, proves to be a remarkable ploy for the company.

The company secured several advertising spots to air during the Super Bowl. However, about 15 minutes following the first commercial, GoDaddy CEO, Bob Parsons, boasts that registrations for domain names soared above 450 percent above last year’s registrations. Parsons released in a statement saying, “We scored several Go Daddy Super Bowl records.” He also explained that the company’s “fourth-quarter commercial spiked our Internet traffic higher than any Super Bowl ad we’ve ever done … ever!” GoDaddy.com has advertised seven consecutive years in the Super Bowl.

The company used the advertising space to push the newest domain extension .Co. The introduction of the new GoDaddy.co Girl created a spike in internet traffic near the conclusion of the first quarter. The commercial resulted in the company registering its 46 millionth domain name, which solidifies GoDaddy’s spot as the number one domain registration company in the world.

The unveiling was both surprising and amusing as names of the new girl ranged from Kim Kardashian to Brittany Spears to Sophia Vergara. The new girl, 77-year-old Joan Rivers, will join sexy racecar driver Danica Patrick and the beautiful super trainer Jillian Michaels as the faces of GoDaddy.

Twitter was all a buzz with the news of the new GoDaddy girl, almost instantly becoming the social sites trending topic. Some has donned Rivers the “Betty White” of Super Bowl 45, referring to White’s classic appearance the previous year. Rivers, a legendary icon in Hollywood, had the body of a supermodel during the reveal thanks to a body double. The undeniable and easily recognizable voice belonged to Rivers; however, the body carried the message. The inspiration GoDaddy wanted to extend is that anything is possible with a .co name.
